We believe that happy clients are referring clients. To this end, we pride ourselves on communicating well with our clients so that there are no surprises when we bill for our services. Before we do any work for you, we meet with you to discuss possible representation. Based upon your particular needs, we may propose a legal strategy, and suggest a rate structure. Importantly, we do this before we begin billing for our time. Many lawyers and law firms bill for initial consultations, but in our experience this can be counter-productive. We believe it is important for all involved to understand the nature of the client's needs before a billing structure can be tailored to the unique needs of every relationship.
We are open to working on an hourly, contingent and flat fee basis depending upon the matter and the surrounding circumstances. We typically require retainers, as is customary, for new clients.
Most importantly, we do not see the value in "nickle and diming" our clients. While this may seem obvious to most, sophisticated consumers of legal services will appreciate our commitment to performing only that which is truly necessary to the representation of our clients. We want you to feel well represented from the first meeting until the final bill is paid.
